Исследование посвящено абсурду в моде XXI века и тому, как дизайнеры сознательно нарушают норму, функцию и привычные визуальные коды.

Гипотеза исследования — абсурд в современной моде является не случайной провокацией, а устойчивым выразительным приёмом и языком коммуникации.

Материал состоит из пяти разделов, каждый из которых раскрывает отдельный механизм работы с абсурдом: от утраты функции до стилизации и апроприации.

Визуальный язык книги отсылает к скетчбуку дизайнера: рукописные заметки, следы работы, наброски и различные «ошибки».
