Created for the 17th «Jazz in the Ruins» festival, this poster explores the collision between history and percussive energy. The custom typeface, inspired by the blocky, skeletal remains of ruins, features a heavy, grain-textured finish that evokes the tactile grit of weathering stone.
To mirror the spontaneity of a live session, I disrupted the visual structure with an irregular, layered composition. Vibrant golden drumsticks cut through the dark void, acting as rhythmic vectors that shatter the stillness of the «ruined» typography. The result is a bold, dissonant visual that captures the raw power and playful experimentation of jazz in an unconventional space.
