Monologue of a Pig
I am a pig. I have given humans my flesh, my fat—even my bones are fully utilized. Yet they take only what they desire. They end my life, then discard my skin as worthless.
This skin was my connection to the world. It grew with me, shielding my body, shedding quietly with each transformation. It carried my bond with the earth and time—my most authentic existence.
Every shedding left crimson traces. This was not an end, but life’s cyclical rhythm. When that red flowed, it was both a farewell and a continuation, whispering nature’s cadence.
This skin, intertwined with my flesh, endured storms and absorbed warmth. Yet those crimson marks were despised for their hue—rejected, forgotten.
The discarded skin took a part of me, yet left behind life’s echo. A imprint of time, a witness to growth and metamorphosis, a murmured reply to existence itself.
When the red fades, all seems still—yet life’s pulse never ceases. It repeats, like a dialogue between body and world, speaking the meaning of being.
Humans dismiss these traces as insignificant. But it is precisely this abandoned crimson that silently records the path of every ordinary life… and tells our story.
Porcine Ephemera: Metabolic Stigma and the Politics of Purity
This installation employs synthetic pigskin with matte-finish coating to simulate biological sebum residue, interrogating the cultural devaluation of physiological processes. The transposed metaphor between menstrual blood and animal byproducts reveals a shared fate: both are reduced to «secretions demanding erasure» within anthropocentric hierarchies.
- Menstrual Blood→ The cloistered sigil of fecundity - Pigskin→ Flayed carapace of corporeal defense
Seven leather panels, processed with gradient-fading technique, document a swine’s life cycle through epidermal decay. Their simulated sebaceous residue (matte texture achieved via acrylic layering) confronts viewers with the fallacy of «sanitation». By appropriating slaughterhouse spatial syntax—meat hooks, clinical spacing—the work mirrors society’s schizophrenic stance: fetishizing life while abhorring its metabolic truth.
