For more than 25 years, the PDSP has been involved in the construction of houses and neighbourhoods. The company has now decided to move to a new technological level by purchasing a modern German production line for the construction of a new type of panel house. This technology allows for the construction of houses with improved planning and a variety of facades designs. Our goal was to create a visual identity for the company, reflecting the new construction principle. We came up with the name BAUM, where «BAU» means construction, and «M» means a module. Besides, it’s an abbreviation from Basic Architecture Universal Modele. We took a rectangular graphic module from the old LPSP logo, developed it and used it as the basis for the construction of the new BAUM logo. The resulting matrix 4:3 gives many different forms of letters that resemble building structures. All of the company’s new identity is designed to show diversity in building houses through modular fonts. We created a modular font, and it gave us a universal tool to brand objects built with new technology. The font matrix allows the letters to be identified, but each time in a new form, depending on the need. As well as building a new type of house, it is a matrix adapted to the customer’s wishes.
