Tverd (Firmament of the earth) Melnik Ekaterina Aleksandrovna The work is inspired by memories of ceramic plein air paintings during my studies, when I found myself with wild clay in my hands.This is a fantasy living landscape. With plastic mountain figures as if frozen in a sacred dance. In this dance, reminiscent of a whirlwind, the earth’s firmament seems to strive to spread around. Gives life to the new and in this new continues its movement again. And so on endlessly. The composition can be an alternative to traditional bouquets of flowers in vases on tables. «Tverd» will be of interest to people who value the naturalness of materials and the naturalness of colors and textures, who prefer naturalness in the interior. The composition consists of three items made using the technique of hand molding followed by milking using dry herbs. Milking produces interesting color nuances. The absence of glazes allows objects to be processed (crushed) and to obtain fireclay, which can subsequently be used to make a new work.
