Despite the fact that travel agencies are now moving mainly online or churning out similar franchises, the general director of the travel agency Fun& Sun Kolomna, Anastasia Lesenko, decided to take a risk and go her own way — to design the first office of the company in Russia, that wasn’t made according to the brand book. And she was right… after the opening, the office officially became the flagship.
For the project, she turned to architects Mikhail Volovich and Varya Shalito. The 70 sq. m. space had a great panoramic glazing and a high ceiling. It was necessary to provide reception area, working space, director’s office, kitchen with a dining area and a bathroom, and at the same time, to think through all the storage systems.
The key concept of the project — an atmosphere of visual relaxation for everyone who enters. Therefore, there are practically no solid walls in the space, and transparent sliding partitions provide the maximum feeling of volume and lightness. The interior partially resembles a Balinese villa, a Greek chapel and even a Dubai luxury hotel with its arches enfilade. This is read as if accidentally, with hints, in this sunny and soft space of sandy shades.
