About DAFES AWARDS
We established the international competition program DAFES AWARDS to encourage creative achievements, share experiences and form guidelines for professional development in design, art, fashion, education and business.
DAFES AWARDS is awarded in five profiles, 20 categories and 80 nominations, as well as various partner nominations that we form together with educational and creative institutions.
About the nomination
Animated graphics play a significant role in our lives. They are used for screensavers, titles for broadcasts, podcasts, series, films, and a variety of animated TV and online advertisements. Motion design is gaining increased recognition in design and communication, offering greater expressiveness and musicality than static graphics.
This nomimation accepts any animated graphics projects, including music videos, titles, screensavers, motion-based identity pieces, or experimental author-driven work where movement, graphics, and sound unite into a cohesive system.
Terms of participation
Both concepts and projects that have been implemented or published between November 1, 2023, and October 12, 2025, are accepted for professional nominations.
While confirmation of publication or implementation is not required for a project to participate in the competition, the jury may request verification from the competition organizers in disputed cases.
Requirements to projects
The nomination evaluates the conceptual idea: originality of the solution, novelty, compliance with the task specified in the description.
All projects are submitted to the competition in the format of a longread-format report created on the DAFES platform.

Vasily Shikhachevsky is the curator of the Motion Design specialization in the Animation, Illustration, and Computer Graphics program at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL.
Ilya Bannikov is the curator of the Communication Design bachelor’s program at the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL in St. Petersburg.
Ivan Vetrov is the curator of the Branding specialization at the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL.
Aleksey Ryumin is a lecturer in the Animation, Illustration, and Computer Graphics program at the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL.
Anna Sarukhanova is the head of the Animation and Illustration basic course at the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL.
Dima Rodionov is a CG designer, the creative director of BBE.
Anton Sakara is the creative director and co-founder of RAKETAMEDIA.
Daria Statsenko is a producer at Raketamedia.
Konstantin Novikov is a motion designer, a sound designer and the co-founder of the STRUTTURA/RANOZER art group.
Valeria Titova is a neuroartist.
Soo Han Chua — Visual Effects Artist, Motion Graphic Artist, and Graphic Designer. He has been working as a full-time lecturer since 2010 and has taught multiple subjects, including Introduction to Graphic Design, Digital Video Production, and Motion Graphics.
Yu Qiongjie — Graphic designer and professor at the School of Design, China Academy of Art. Founder and Art Director of Transwhite Studio, she specializes in poster design, typography, and exhibition graphics. As curator of the China International Poster Biennial, she fosters cross-cultural dialogue in contemporary graphic design.
