Series of 5 prints Size: 12,4×20 cm made in traditional Japanese technique (mokuhanga) by the group of wood carvers and artists for International Mokuhanga conference 2021. Co-authors are Alexander Litvinov and Natalia Grebrnnikova. «Datscha» (similarly to Sputnik) is a well known Russian word which means a small land plot (normally 600 sq. m) and a summer house. The house is often self built, and then surely influences the shapes a lot. Nearly half of Russians spend their summer weekend at Datcha. It is a very traditional way to organise weekends and vacations. Pandemic activated Datcha life since it became the best place to hide from urban areas.
