This project was inspired by the Indian film Like Stars on Earth, which tells the story of Ishaan, a child misunderstood due to dyslexia and an art teacher who transformed his world with empathy.
INVENTO is born as a high-impact itinerant cultural brand, situated at the intersection of education, neuroscience, and artistic expression. Inspired by the essence of the film Like Stars on Earth, the brand reflects the sensitive approach of professor Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who uses art to break social labels and stigmas. Much like in the film, INVENTO rescues artistic practice not as a pedagogical accessory, but as a core language, the first and most vital human form of perceiving and processing the world.
In the Brazilian context, where silence is often mistaken for learning and art is treated as a mere technical gift the brand challenges reality by positioning itself in the detour. It is the act of finding new ways out when conventional routes fail, the legitimate ''jeitinho brasileiro'' (brazilian way) applied to emotional and intellectual survival. Where the system imposes walls and rigid metrics, we propose exploration and discovery, protecting each individual’s unique lens against homogenization. To be an Invento is to embrace the power of being a creator, transforming manual gestures into a cognitive processing tool that precedes speech itself.
The project’s theoretical foundation integrates research such as the legacy of Nise da Silveira, which validates creation as a way of listening to the unconscious, and the principles of NeuroArt, which unites cognitive neurosciences with artistic expression. From this perspective, playfulness is the engine of cognition: by creating, individuals learn from their own movements, master feelings, and exercise their communication with the world, overcoming the scarcity of traditional resources through creative dynamism and the affirmation that not all intelligence speaks the same language.
The name INVENTO (INVENTION) carries a strategic duality: semantically, it removes the young person from the role of passive student, positioning them as the inventor of their own reality; phonetically (in Portuguese), it houses the word ''Vento'' (Wind), evoking the breath of freedom necessary for expression to circulate without judgment. Visually, this fluidity is guided by the transformation cycle and lightness of the dandelion and by a color palette that balances serenity, vitality, and creativity.
As a practical solution, the project manifests in an ecosystem of living installations and immersive workshops, versatile environments that adapt to different age groups and contexts, such as parks, cultural centers, and schools. The experience begins with the ''Elo'' (Link) ritual, a breathing space for decompressing from academic metrics. In the ''Ilhas de Matéria'' (Material Islands), imagination becomes tangible through a connection with brasilidade (brazilianness), using organic pigments (urucum, charcoal, etc.), textile weaves (sisal, jute, etc.), extensive bases (paper rolls, walls, etc.), and contrast supports that invite touch.
Through educational content and constantly updated themes, INVENTO promotes collective creation that cultivates the free strokes of children and young people, focusing on feeling beyond seeing. In this environment, even adults are invited to reinhabit the place of their own inner child, now taking on the role of an attentive reader of the new generation’s expressions. The cycle ends at the ''Registro de Jornada'' (Journey Log), a map of inventions where the gesture is validated as speech and the individual trajectory becomes part of the project’s collection. By telling these stories and documenting the process, we celebrate intelligence in its freest state and transform the experience into a living legacy.
